Unraid 6.12.8 - what's new:

• Security Update: Docker updated due to a security advisory. (Recommend to upgrade if you don't have the 6.12.8 version already!)
• Data Loss Fix: Resolved an issue causing potential data loss with non-standard partition layouts on new array drives.
• Networking Enhancements: Improvements made to networking capabilities.
• Docker Containers: Updates and fixes applied to Docker container handling.
• Time Machine Support: Enhanced support for Time Machine over SMB.
• VM Improvements: Various improvements to virtual machine functionalities.
• System Logging: Enhanced system logging capabilities.
• SMART Handling: Better handling of SMART attributes for NVME and SSD drives.
• Upgrade Notes: Recommendations for outdated plugins, macvlan issues, and Realtek network cards addressed.

Instructions​

Download ZIP file. Extract to computer. Find "Readme.txt" in the folder whose name we are not allowed to speak ;-)

Tested and working! Virustotal has scanned the entire ZIP file and found -1- false positive.​

I think Jimmy was referring to the fact that the links are in Code and do not need to be like that for your thread.
Maybe he should have been specific ... But

Dumb Question prolly but im running a "Free Trial" version of unraid right now older version and i would like to upgrade to this one.. readme says copy the unraider file to my thumb stick, so thats all i got to do? just dont want to mess my setup up.

I will probably get rid of the older version, as sometimes new fixes won't work on other versions!

Yes you can simply copy over to the USB and make sure to edit the "go" file with your info. The unraider is compiled by me, this file bypasses the checks of the certificate, so as long as there's a license key (trial f.ex.) it will validate this as the real deal.

UPDATE: Version 6.12.6 is out now - you can update without problems.
I have tested on my own setup now. No issues here.

Once you are logged in to admin panel, head to Tools -> Update OS.
Check for updates in top right then you can click the Update button that appears afterwards.
Let it download, then it will notify you once you can reboot to upgrade.

UPDATE #1: Version 6.12.8 is out as of 15th February. WARNING: DO NOT directly update OS from 6.12.6. The patching method has changed. See below link for update:
