Vmware Workstation Pro is also not secured? So what is the recommended secured one now?
Not saying VmWare is not secure, just that there are settings to be made and asking which would be best.
I know Shared Folders should not be used. Very bad idea.
And especially, do not enable drag and drop and also do not enable copy and paste. If you can copy something from the virtual to the physical, then trojans can also go the same route.
I know Access Control should be encrypted, but not sure why. Also not sure how it works for keeping things secure.
I know autologin can be enabled on a virtual. That is, you don't have to use your Windows account name and password But on a virtual machine used for banking, or for ordering online, I would think using account/pw would be a necessity.
VmWare installs Windows 11 with TPM. But not sure if this can do anything securitywise as it is virtual. If this virtual is installed on a W10 physical, how secure is it TPM wise?
For extra security after a fresh install of a virtual machine,I would install the Avast banking mode, and anti virus. Then rar it up. Then copy the rar file and paste on another place on the hard drive. Unrar, and use. When done, delete the virtual machine. Then repeat for the next round of banking/ bill paying. Just unrar the rared vm and you are good to go.
This way, you will have a fresh install to use each time. A little extreme for sure. Unless anyone has any further ideas, this method seems to be safe.
