Downloaded and seeding. But Can't boot from it. Tried Rufus, Etcher and Ventory2 w/no luck. Even redownloaded it in case it was corrupt. Never had an issue before. Error I get on all but Ventory (it just goes back to iso select screen) is no "bootable device found"

try formatting your thumb drive with something like easeus partition master

Any unhook any drives other than one for Operating system. And do not format and delete it.. This new OS will do that for you .. And save your files coz its a complete new install

Been working on PC'c since programs were on punchcards. I'll try downloading it from another pc. I prob got 15-20 of em around here (not kidding)

Downloaded it on another PC with a different torrent downloader. Installing it now

Please forgive my naivety, but I have never done this before, and it's a scary thing to do even with my many years of experience with computers and installing stuff.
Is there a thread that has tips on installing these OS's? I have my USB drive ready after using Rufus, but do I just copy the ISO to the USB drive, or do I extract to all over to it?

use rufus to create a bootable windows installer flash drive then install OS from there
